FAQ
After an accident you should immediately report it to your Insurance company, (unless you are considering paying out of pocket) the next step, and probably the most important is to choose a licensed, qualified repair shop. If you chose Sip Auto Body, all you need to do is give us your insurance claim number, and we will handle everything for you.
A “DRP” or “Direct-Referral" shop has a very close and trusted relationship with an insurance company. At Sip Auto Body we have this relationship with over 10 major insurance companies. This means no waiting for an insurance appraiser to see your car. We can write your estimate, take photos, and upload it to your insurance claim rep. In most cases the repairs are approved within 24 hrs, and repairs can begin immediately.
Yes-you simply need to bring us a copy of the estimate your appraiser wrote, or give us your claim #, and we will obtain a copy via fax or email. If your appraiser overlooked any damage or there is hidden damage, we will call the appraiser back to ensure he pays for all the accident related damage. We will never ask you to pay out of pocket for any hidden or overlooked damages. Ever!
At Sip Auto Body we give you, in writing, a warranty on all the work we performed, for as long as you own your vehicle. If you ever have a problem, simply return to our facility and we will take care of it free of charge. We are that confident in our repair work.
Experience is very important Today's vehicles and repair procedures are very complex. At Sip Auto Body we have been doing this for over 50 years. All of our managers have been involved in the industry for over 35 years, and our technicians all have at least 15 years of experience. This makes our staff very qualified to perform today’s complex repair techniques.
The equipment a shop uses is vital to its ability to perform proper repairs. At Sip Auto Body we use a state of the art down-draft spray booth/bake oven. All paintwork is performed in this “pure” environment to ensure no imperfections in the finished product. All paintwork is then oven baked to ensure proper curing.
Materials are a key element, poor or cheap materials mean a poor or cheap repair. At Sip Auto Body we use only the finest “OEM” type materials available, and our paint system is the finest urethane system out there.
Another key element is frame equipment. Every vehicle has specific structural measurements according to its manufacturer. If these measurements are compromised, it is vital to return them to their exact specifications to ensure a proper repair and a safe, properly performing vehicle. At Sip Auto Body we have a full frame rack, as well as a unibody bench with measuring bridge. We also have a laser measuring system and software with every vehicles exact dimension. This ensures your vehicles structure is aligned properly-no guesswork.
I-CAR is the industry leader in collision repair technology training & testing. All of our managers and technicians undergo I-CAR training. An I-CAR GOLD CLASS SHOP is the highest possible level of training. The criteria is a constant, on-going level of extensive training. Of course Sip Auto Body is an I-CAR GOLD CLASS SHOP. This is how we stay current with the newest, most high-tech repair procedures.
